Sion Kearsey

Sion Kearsey co-founded Kelso Place in 2000 and has been sole Managing Partner Since 2009.  Sion oversees all investment and operating activities of the firm, and has a  particular focus on working with the senior Executives in portfolio companies on business improvement and strategy.  Sion has been most closely involved with Sepura, which was an investment he managed from the outset  through to its IPO in 2007, and where he still sits on the Board today.  He has also managed Kelso Place’s investments in Smythson, Anya Hindmarch and MDNX.  Prior to Kelso Place, Sion was a Managing Director with Goldman Sachs in London.  He has a Law degree from the London School of Economics.

Philip Weston

Philip Weston joined Kelso Place shortly after its inception and has been a Partner since 2001.  Philip has been responsible for executing many of Kelso Place’s investments and disposals and has managed several investments including, Marshal, i2S and RED Driving School.  Philip is the firm’s CFO.  Prior to Kelso Place, Philip had a background in corporate finance gained with Kvaerner ASA, British Gas and Deloitte.  Philip is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute for Turnaround and has a Physics degree from the University of Bristol.
